FIRST SEMESTER 2003

- "The sign of Lasègué" by Marcello Luca Marasco:
history, curiosities, description, comparison with similar textes, several interpretations through conventional and ostheopatic medicine of one of the most famous test and sign used in the diagnosis of sciatalgy.
- "Clinical case: treatment of a scoliosis by means of ostheopaty and chinesiology" by Marcello Di Vincenzo and Marcello Luca Marasco:
a multidiscipline approach to the pathology of idiopathic scoliosis, with very detailed report of the evaluation of the scoliosis, of the ostheopathic and chinesiologic treatments.
- "Principles of McKenzie's methodology" by Marcello Di Vincenzo:
history and principles of one of the most widespread and innovative methodology in the field of rehabilitation, for individuals affected by backache.
- "History of Back School" by Giovanna Colangelo:
a geographic and historical analyses of "Back School", its contents and programmes, since its beginnings in Sweden through its following developments, in Italy and in the world.
- "Clinical case: ear buzzing and cervical rachis" by Marcello Luca Marasco:
interesting clinical case, rich in stimuli, original in its way of approaching and solving the disorder.
- "Smoking and back pain" by Marcello Luca Marasco and Antonella D'Amico:
an interesting current bibliographic research about the relationships between active and passive smoke and back pain.


SECOND SEMESTER 2003

- "Comparison about the different terminologies used to name the proper rachis muscles" first part by Marcello Di Vincenzo:
an article in the section given up to the updating, about the concept of uniformity of language, that is the target of our association since its birth. The aim of the study is to point out analogies and/or differences about the origin, insertion, terminology and action of the spine proper muscles, by comparing three anatomy texts and a biomechanics one.
- "The occlusal minus" by Francesco Crescentini:
this article about the diagnostics, shows the relations existing between occlusal problems and posture, together with the various balances on different levels.
- "Rehabilitative approach by means of biofeedback of faecal incontinence" first part by Noemi Musuri:
thanks to the reporter's knowledge and her detailed anatomic, physiologic and instrumental analyses, this space dedicated to therapy/rehabilitation leads us to face and handle a highly spread disorder, with a rehabilitative approach through the use of biofeedback equipments.
- "Proprioceptivity" first part by Antonella D'Amico:
in the section of chinesiology/re-education, the reporter proposes an article about the idea of proprioception, important remedy in rehabilitation and re-education protocol for those who show functional disorders of different origins.
- "Ostheopatic clinical case: lumbar pain and female infertility" by Marcello Luca Marasco:
the reported clinical case shows the relations existing between the back and visceral apparatus, in this case the uterus, and also how a well structured ostheopatic treatment might give good results soon and later on.
- "Classification of the disk dislocations (from www.vh.org)" by Marcello Luca Marasco:
the viewed site is a virtual hospital, useful to those who operate in this field and for the users, and the classification of the disk dislocations contributes to build a standard language in medicine.
